I love to watch movies! Probably too much, but I love to watch movies. Like books, they can touch you in some way and impact your way of thinking. Some make you laugh; some make you cry; some make you think, and some bring back the best and/or worst memories. Let's begin with my list ... 1) Harry Potter I have loved Harry Potter since the day I read the first book, in the early 2000's. A friend had recommended it to me and from the first chapter I was hooked. I even have a HP tattoo! When the announcement came regarding the movies, my heart sank. Come on, we're all Boo Nerds and sometimes the movie just ruins it. (Need I remind you about Percy Jackson 😒😒😒 ) However, when the first movie dropped, I was there with my overpriced popcorn ready to be transported to Hogwarts! Needless to say, I love them. Yes, there are changes from the books to the movie, but not enough for me to really complain about. And I still watch them to this day! 2) Gone with
It seems like forever since I have written a book review. Do I even remember how to? Let's give it a shot!!! I received this book from my Book of the Month pick and am I happy I did. Wow, this book is a true page turner. I read it in one sitting. What I loved: Taylor Jenkins Reid truly knows how to keep a reader engaged. I figure this book was going to be an Elizbeth Taylor knock off, but O...M...G... I was wrong! She shows us what one woman, Evelyn Hugo, has to go through to make it in the Hollywood world of the 1950's until present. It's not the hard work, the deception of others and Evelyn, the lies, the secrets, it is all the above. In this book there is a SERIOUS twist that I didn't see coming and truthfully ... I loved it. Evelyn has a lot of secrets and truly hides who she truly is. With each husband, you see Evelyn grow, mature, cry, love, hate, and continually push herself further and further. What I didn't like: There is a jump in the timeline wi
So, I figured that my first post should be a teaser post!! What a great way to start off my new site, right? So, here you go: (please remember this is not edited) Just then another set of doors opened and several men came out. Well they aren't that bad looking, I thought, for guys missing most of their teeth . The crowd rushed towards them with excitement and sharpies. I stood there and watched as each player posed for pictures and signed whatever was handed to them. I never saw a player complain or even seem annoyed by it. "You shouldn't miss the opportunity to meet them," a male’s voice said next to me. I jumped with a start. I didn’t even realize that anyone was around me. It was then I saw the exit door was ajar and I could feel the brisk cold outside. "I am fine. I don't need to meet them," as I quickly looked up at him. He had to be at least 6'2” with dark hair but I quickly turned away. "
